Conclusion
A recast of a resin model kit originally by BUBBA, this kit depict Haruhi when she was standing in for the school pop music band during the school festival as seen in the novel and Season 1 of the anime.
I found this actually a pretty entertaining kit, not too hard but got enough detail for experienced model builder. Haruhi herself is pretty well sculpted, with parts split at transition points between skin and clothing, and hair composed of a good number of pieces to allow her hair to have some volume.
The only part I wish the kit could do better though is at the feet. As you can see, I decided to use fine mesh to represents fishnet stockings, and in general it went fine. but the legs and the high heels are molded together. this makes ending the mesh very difficult around the heel. I seen some people rectified this by cutting the shoes off the leg parts, then resculpt the area for them to reconnect after the stockings are in place. That requires a lot of skills though, which I did not have.
The guitar is another challenging part. Nylon threads are provided for strings, and all dial and tuning knobs are separate parts, so assembling the guitar was a delicate job, but it ended up looking pretty good.
